Telework!VA provides financial incentives for businesses to start or expand a formal telework program. By encouraging employees to perform some or all of their duties without commuting to the office, companies can help reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and qualify for up to $50,000. BTSI, an Argy subsidiary that provides outsourced IT services, and one of its partners have been helping clients implement procedures to qualify for the Telework!VA program.
One of BTSI’s clients is a government contractor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). They are headquartered in Northern Virginia with some employees working on government sites in other states. Our IT Managed Services fees for this client are $31,200 per year. After explaining what the Telework!VA program could do for them, we hired a consultant to help them implement the program. Now that the program is implemented, they are reimbursed for 40% of our fees because they committed to increasing telework by 40%. IT Services fees are 100% reimbursable if they are used to help implement Telework.
This Telework!VA program does several things for organizations in Virginia:
