McLean, VA — March 29, 2011— Argy, Wiltse & Robinson, P.C. (Argy), a rapidly-growing certified public accounting and business advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it is now the 57th largest CPA firm in the nation based on its 2010 financial results. The firm climbed ten spots on Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Accounting Firms” list, on which firms are ranked by annual revenue. Argy was also recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms in the U.S.
“We are very proud of our 2010 results and our ascent on the list of Top 100 firms in the nation,” said Paul Argy, the firm’s President & CEO. “Argy’s success is a direct result of our exceptional and dedicated employees. We are particularly proud of the fact that we accomplished this one year before our firm’s 20th Anniversary.”
Accounting Today ranks U.S.-based accounting firms by revenue and calculates their growth year over year. As expected, most of the Top 100 Firms experienced a drop in revenue or had little to no growth. The percent increase in revenue for the combined Top 100 this year versus last year was a -1.98%. Argy’s revenue grew 14% in 2010 to an all-time high of $50 million.
Virginia Business Magazine also named Argy as 7th largest accounting firm in Virginia. The Virginia Business Magazine’s list of Top Accounting Firms is based on the number of Certified Public Accountants at each firm.
Argy has just over 270 firm wide employees across three offices, with the vast majority of employees located at its headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
