Charitable Giving

"Making a Difference Where it's Needed Most"

As a local, privately-held business, Argy prides itself on giving back to the communities that it resides in.  Each year our charitable giving committee, "Argy Helping Hands", puts together a list of fundraising events.  Here's a look at just a few of the events and fundraisers we have been involved in this year:

September 2009 - School Supply Collection

Argy employees donated school supplies and backpacks to Mount Vernon Woods Elementary and Kemp Mill Elementary Schools. These donations will allow students to start their school year with the supplies and confidence they need.  Staff and students at both schools were very appreciative and excited to receive the donations.

May 2009 - Florida Shoebox Greetings Project

Argy employees in the Florida offices participated in a local "Shoebox Greetings" project.  Shoeboxes were filled with items to be donated to homeless children.  Items placed in the boxes included hygienic items as well as snacks and games to help these children feel more comfortable while living at shelters.

May 2009 - Greater DC Cares Annual Servathon

On May 2, 2009, Argy employees gathered again to participate in the Greater DC Cares Annual Servathon. Last year, we had about 50 Argy employees participate and increased our participation this year. Information on the servathon is available at www.servathon.org.

March 2009 - Girl Scout Cookies For Troops

Argy would like to extend MANY THANKS to the employees who donated Girl Scout cookies during our annual Girl Scout cookie drive. Argy also matched all employee donations to result in more than 734 boxes of Girl Scout cookies being sent to soldiers overseas! That’s over 15,000 cookies!
